Writing and Illustration​:

Words within me, words that walk with me and words that speak the stories of my soul, to me – I would in all humility, think of them as Poems. There is a part of me which truly needs to write for children. 

I am working on a picture book of poems for children 5 and up and another read aloud picture book for toddlers. Having finished writing the text and illustrating the rough storyboards/layouts, I am currently in the process of putting together dummy books for both projects.

I come from an art based home environment and have always been surrounded by colours and forms. My Mother, a BFA graduate (specialisation painting) is a professional painter and art teacher. My Father is an architect with a Masters in Urban and Rural Planning (M.U.R.P). I am deeply inspired by nature, space, music and the core elements: Air, Fire, Earth, Water and Love. Colours, emotions and nature power my soul work.

I always look for opportunities to learn, realise my potential and grow better as an artist, writer and poet. Working and learning alongside creative people, seniors, peers and faculty members has always been most enriching. I sincerely believe that it is the best form of ongoing education I could be honoured to receive.
